Can The Ovarian Cyst Cause Left Labia Pain With Numbness?
Hi, I m a 48Y/O Female, 5 6, Weigh 179lb. History: I had a Sono on 1/10/12 Finding: left ovary cyst measuring 1.5 X 1.3 X 1.4 I injured my back at work 9/4/13 1st MRI 9/15/13 L4-L5 and L5-S1 Facet hypertrophy with facet joint effusion Left L5-S1 Radiculopathy Mild degenerative Disc bulges at L4-L5, L5-S1 EMG done on 12/20/2014 Findings: Lower Extremity bilateral L5-S1 Radiculopathy 2nd MRI 6/26/14 Findings: L4-L5 greater than L5-S1 Lateral recesss stenosis and facet hypertrophy. I am having a new onset of sharp nerve pain going from my lower back down medial buttocks to the left labia with numbness. Left leg weakness progressing. IME Dr. Recommended immediate surgery: -Decompressive lumbar laminectomy at L4-L5 and L5-S1 With medial Facetectomy and Foraminotomy With decompression of L5 and S1 nerve root on the left. Because I stated of pain to left labia w/ numbness assuming pelvic floor to labia is associated Dr. Recommended a CT before Surgery of abdomen and pelvic R/O Mass that may cause Lumbar Radiculopathy. CT on 8/2/14 with Oral Contrast of Abdomen/Pelvis Finding: 3.2 X 2.4 cm Left Ovary Cyst Question: Although cyst has grown can this be the cause of my sharp nerve pain going to left labia and numbness? Is further testing needed and if so what are the test? I am having NO Pelvic Pain except sharp nerve pain going from my lower back down medial buttocks to the left labia with numbness and sciatic pain going down my leg. The last 3 years my cycle skips two consecutive menstrual period per year.
