Hello,

After the thyroid removal, the thyroid function is substituted by taking levothyroxine once daily in the morning. If you they didn't suggest you to take levothyroxine until now, may because partial thyroidectomy is done.

The hormonal level (TSH,FT4 and Ft3) should be monitored regularly in order to see if the dose is correct.

In your case i would recommend to check the thyroid function (the above mentioned hormones) and if an under active thyroid is confirmed, it may be the cause for your slow reflexes.

If the thyroid function is within the normal ranges, than i would recommend to see a neurologist.

Hope the information is somewhat helpful.

Wish you good health!

Kind regards,
Dr.Mirjeta
