Can The Small Submucosal Mass Down Throat Can Be Cancerous?
Saw a surgeon who removed my thyroid in May. She scoped my throat because I felt like there was something down there that was flicking . She found a small submucosal mass to the left of the base of the epiglottis. I was wondering if this could be cancerous. Thank you
I have gone through your query regarding small sub mucosal mass to the left of base of epiglottis as told by your doctor.
Here I would like to say that any mass in the body should be investigated for it's nature of pathology and staging. Therefore you should also be investigated by taking biopsy endoscopicaly from that particular mass.
Weather this is benign or cancerous it may be decided only by histopathology of piece taken for biopsy.
Regads.
