Can The Use Of Deriphyllin Retard 150 Cause Blood In Stool?

Sir, can the use of deriphyllin retard 150 cause blood in stool? I am suffering from cough for about a month and my doctor advised me to take deriphyllin retard 150 once a day after dinner.. Its been 4 days i am taking this medicine and i m experiencing constipation and one day i had blood in stool.. Is it serious or is it because of the use of this tablet.. Please advise.. Thankyou

I have gone through your problem.
It is unlikely for the Deriphyline retard to cause blood in the stool.
Since you are experiencing constipation may be because of the hard stool or due to suspected internal hemorrhoids you might be getting the blood stained stools.
If bleeding persists get examined by a doctor for proper assessment.
