Can Throat Discomfort, Coughing And Breathlessness Be Treated With A Decongestant?
I take 30mg XR adderall once a day and shortly after taking it once it starts to kick in I start to have this feeling in my throat where I constantly feel like I need to clear it. It gets better when I drink more water, and I definitely drink a lot, but sometimes it still doesn t really help. I never had this problem before I started the adderall. Sometimes I ll end up coughing to try and clear my throat, and even though that seems to help, i have asthma and after severely coughing, i can t catch my breathe and have to use a my rescue inhaler. Would taking a decongestant help? Is there anything I can do to try and help this symptom without changing my dose?
I went through the history you have provided here. The symptoms of throat discomfort, cough, breathlessness indicate asthma or lower respiratory tract infection. This requires treatment for asthma by bronchodilators and antibiotics. Use of decongestant drugs will provide symptomatic relief and it alone cannot cure the problem. The additional drugs as I have mentioned are required for treatment of your problem.
Do consult your doctor for examination and prescription of drugs.
