Can Throat Pain Be An After Effect Of Having Suffered With Flu Which Was Accompanied By Dizziness And Weakness?

My 16 year old daughter went to the doctor last Thursday presenting the following symptoms:dizziness, weakness, throat hurting, headache in head and in face, pain in her throat and in ears and down in sides of neck. NO FEVER. The dr. did a flu test and she tested positive. Today (Sunday), she was feeling some better, never having run a fever at all. (She got the flu shot back in October). After waking from a nap, she was crying, saying she felt like her throat was closing up and it hurt to hold her head up. Hurt down both sides. Still no fever present. Is this just a side effect from the flu or has something else happened? It has me concerned.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi. The symptoms are pretty sever but without fever. Pain looks to be the man one. It is possible that there is another problem , may be in the pharyngeal space , or the spine. I would advise you to have a consultation with n ENT surgeon , who would do examination and order x-rays / MRI. Would like to have follow-up findings and reports and result for us to help you more.
