Can Thyroxine Pill Rise SGPT & SGOT Levels?

Dr, I m 27 years old.my weight is 63kg.height 173cm.I m getting 100mg thiroxine pill daily when i tested blood level, they are TSH 0.7 ( 0.3-4.2), T41.5 (0.9-1.7), sgot 57, sgpt 165 my question is can thyroxine pill cause to high level of sgpt & sgot?

Hi, dear
I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern.

Generally thyroxin does not cause liver damage and rise in SGOT and SGPT level in therapeutic dosage. But thyroxin may produce hyperthyroidism and it cause elevated liver enzymes.

So consult your doctor and set the dosage of thyroxin accordingly.
