Can Tonsillitis Cause Difficulty In Swallowing And Yawning?

Could I have tonsiliitis? A few weeks back, I got the flu shot (Which is required, working in a hospital). Afterwards, I got sick and had quite a few problems with my throat and I also think I had a touch of bronchitis. Now, however, I am well and all, but only my tonsils hurt. Especially when I yawn. It is also sometimes hard to swallow food when I am eating because they feel so swollen. Do you think this could be serious or will just go away?

hello. it is likely that your tonsils have enlarged and this may not be related to your flu shot. if you are not having fever or any enlarged painful nodes in your neck, then you will do well and have nothing to worry. just gargle with warm salt water and avoid spicy foods. regards
