Can Tonsillitis During Pregnancy Be Dangerous For The Baby?
hello sir, i'hv 7months pregnancy.age 33,height 5'2",weight 52kg,i am on bed rest because of placenta previea. today i am feeling swelling in my throat on both sides. i think it may b tonsilitis. i dont hv fever right now. will it be dangerous to my baby or me? wht can i do? pls guide me in this matter.thank u.

Hi, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. Tonsillitis does not have any direct effect on the fetus, but it can lead to preterm labour and delivery( delivery before37 weeks of gestation) as a effect of infection.
I would therefore suggest you to consult an ENT specialist to get properly examined, investigated and treated with antibiotics.
