I have all symptoms of tonsillitis: swollen tonsils, swollen and sore glands under jaw, pain in ears, body aches, headaches, and woke thru the night sweating (it is middle of winter and -3 C outside. BUT when I take my temp I get a reading of 35.5 C. I am 42 years old and female. Can tonsillitis exist with low core temp?
hello, thanks for your query, tonsills r lymphoid tissue can show hypertrophy with ent infections like allergy, viral fevers, sleep apnea or some physiologically.tonsillar hypertrophy is different from tonsillitis. tonsillar hypertrophy will b seen in low temperatures but not tonsillitis . hope I have answered ur query. all d best. take care.
