Can Tri-sprintec Cause Brown Spots On Arms?

have been on tri-sprintec for the past 4 weeks and noticing some ugly brown spots on my arms (not because of the sun). It is winter and therer is no sun . If I stop taking this birth control, will the brown spots go away?...or has it permanently damaged my skin?
