Can Type 2 Diabetes Cause Fever?

I have type 2 diabetes last week I started having diarera which seemed to get better, but now I have a temp of 103 with no other symptons will diabetes cause this . if so what is it and what can I do about it , my blood suger levels have been excellent up to now

1. As diabetes itself decreases the resistance of the body to fight infection [as it causes weakened immunity] which allows bacteria to grow and help develop infections quickly [as in your case]

2. probably you might have caught a viral infection or since there is a history of diarrhea, fever could be due to associated urinary tract infection [cystitis] thus check with urine [routine/microscopic] examination for appropriate antibiotic course [avoid medicine with high sugar content like syrup based cough medicine]
