Can Upper Endoscopy Be Done While Having Problem Swallowing?
Hi, I was scheduled for an upper endoscopy because of stomach pain , but forgot that I occasionally have a prob swallowing, which they did ask on questionnaire I am not sure I will be able to swallow the endoscope. as I said it happens so infrequently I forgot about it How ever this discomfort is getting worse every day should I reschedule also I had one before years ago but woke up and tried to pull the endoscope out, Not a pleasant experience, I would appreciate your thoughts on this, and is there any thing else that can be done instead. you need not reschedule your appointment for upper GI endoscopy,it will rather benefit you ,you will come to know if there is any problem with your swallowing also, to rule out any strictures,mass in your food pipe.
