Can Urine Test Confirm The Pregnancy?

Hi,

My girlfriend and I had sex in the early second week of August. Her periods were due in last week of August but that is irregular. Yesterday I realized she have a swollen tummy. Therefore I am concerned if she is pregnant. Can I go for a urine test to confirm her pregnancy?

hello,

Yes, she needs to undergo one home pregnancy test with urine to rule out the pregnancy.

However, blood test for beta-hCG is more reliable and confirmatory in early weeks of pregnancy.

Ultrasound scan is 100% confirmatory. Kindly, consult with gynecologist after test report.
