Can Urine Turn Red From Eating Beetroot?

Several weeks ago, I was eating a lot of fresh beets. I noticed a couple times when I went to urinate, that my urine was red. I panicked and thought there was blood in my urine. However, once I stopped eating the beets, it didn t happen again. I just wanted to verify - can eating beets make your urine turn red? Or should I be concerned? Thanks, Hang

I really appreciate your concern, because of the color food color of urine may be like that only and it may not be the hematuria, if no symptoms are there and color does not comes red after stop eating the beets then it is confirmed that it the beets only caused such color of urine and no need to worry about this, hope this information helps.
