Can Using Minoxin 5%plus Solution Help Control Hair Loss In A 27 Yr Old Female Whose Father Also Has Same Problem?

Dear Doctor,
I'm Rasika from Sri Lanka
My Age is 27. I' m Lossing my Hair Daily. I'm experiencing in this during the last 3-4 years. My father also has same Problem. It is held hereditory. I'm thinking use of minoxin 5% plus solution. Will it be Successful?

Hello,
Welcome to healthcare magic,
If you are having hereditary hair fall or androgenetic alopecia, minoxidil is the medicine of choice. However for women 2% minoxidil solution 1 ml twice a day local application is approved by US FDA and not 5 %.
