General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Varicocele can be easily corrected with surgery or embolization. Even though infertility is unlikely to occur post surgery, but Varicocele by itself is associated with sub-fertility. The repair of Varicocele have little effect on treating sub-fertility, it corrects only the problem like dilated veins, and dull pain. I would suggest you get the surgical correction done as it will not have any impact on your sexual activity later in life. Moreover, you can consult a Urologist, and discuss possible methods to improve your fertility if needed in future.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ayesha Shareef, General & Family Physician
