Recently I became a vegan . I am in my twenties and weigh around 160 Its been a more than a few moths now. Normally I have sinus problems but since switching my diet I have gotten tonsil stones. Is it possible that my diet has made me sick? And can I get others sick by coughing or sharing a drink?
Vegan diet probably won't cause this problem. It may be due to chronic tonsillitis with crypt abscess then it may accumulate with food particles and lead to stone formation and tonscilar stone.
It may cause foreign body sensation and repeated throat infections. You can consult your ENT specialist who will examine and treat you accordingly.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
