Can Vein Surgery Be Done To Heal Varicose Veins?

hi ive been suffering with varicose vein in my leg since pregnancy 4years ago its getting worse and gettin longer and causing great pain its affecting my work and fitness and really starting to get me down. my doctor has told me that th nhs no longer do vein surgery is this correct??
