Can Virus Cause Abnormal Levels Of Thyroid In The Body?
I was diagnosed with hypothyroid 10 years ago by a civilian doctor, 1 year later my military doctor took me off synthroid saying that my abnormal levels were the result of a virus and I no longer needed medication. Since then I continue to experience the symptoms that originally led to they hypothyroid diagnosis and continually have my doctors check my tsh levels but am refused medication or a referral to a specialist as my levels are considered borderline but not abnormal. Can my thryoid problems have been the result of a virus?

When you beginning to treat thyroid problems with Synthroid?
Under treatment your TSH level consider borderline?
Dear Sir :,common. symptoms of subacute thyroiditis include fatigue, wekness and fever.
Did you have that?
Allso Thyroiditis refers to the inflammation of the thyroid.
Specifically , the blood test will measure your thyroid hormone:Ft4 and TSH (when one level is hight the other level is low)
Let me know please did you have that time viral infection upper in the respiratoty tract?
• In case subacute thyroiditis or thyroiditis to reduce the pain and to control the inflammatory you must to take aspirin , ibuprofen(steroid)
In my opinion you must to conslout with your endocrinolog with your last bloot test to thyroid hormone.
-TSH
-Ft4
-Thyroid ultrasound
The symptoms usually go away within 12 to 18 months.
In some cases, however, hypothyroidism may end up being permanent.
