Can Vision Improve With Age?

Hi, my son has a power of -1.25 in one and -1.50 in the other eye. The doc. told me that he is farsighted .... Is that possible having a negative power? He has a cylindrical power. Will his vision improve considering the fact that he is just 5 yrs old?

Hello
It seems from the history that your 5 year old son is having refractive error of -1.25 and -1.5. This indicates that he his having myopia or short sightedness.

The refractive error changes rapidly in children because of growth of the eye ball, hence he needs to use the spectacles regularly and need examination once in 6 months to look for any changes in the refractive error.

Thank you
