Can We Diagnose The Difference Between Cystic Fibrosis And Onset Of Bronchiectasis Through Blood Work?
Hi - just wondering if in the blood work up you can diagnose the difference between Cystic Fibrosis and the onset of Bronchiectasis? I have read that Psuedomonas Aeriginosa and Stapphlococcus Aureus are more prevalent in CF related Bronchiectasis than non CF but I would think you still see both those bacteria in CF anyway?

Cystic fibrosis is one of the the cause of bronchiectasis, normally Pseudomonas is not present in Cystic fibrosis unless it's complicated by bronchiectasis. Bronchiectasis is a radiology diagnosis, and it's not possible to tell by blood test when bronchiectasis occurs.
