Can We Have Sex While Suffering From Spinal Disc Slip?

Hi, My husband is 46 years of age he feel pain in his both legs thiry days befor when he went to doctor he told that you have a spinal lower disc slip and he advised 15days bed rest and give some medicine also after fifteen days doctor suggested one month more medicine and allow him to stand, walk, laying on bed and 15 to 20 min for siting. My husband dont feel any pain after staring very first day of his treatment. I want to mention here that my husband lost his much whieght in last three months now he is putting again. He is strictly following the Doctors advise. Now I need guidance that whether we can have sex if yes what should be the suitable method and how he can be get out of the sickness depression?
