Can We Take The Levonorgestrel Pills After Taking 2 Althea Pills Post Intercourse As Effective Emergency Contraception?
Hi, we have incorrectly taken 2 Althea pills containing cyproterone acetate ethinylestradiol as form of emergency contraception after unprotected sex. We understand this is not effective and we need something with levonorgestrel. Can we take the levonorgestrel pills now as effective emergency contraception ?

Yes, Levonorgestrel can be taken but it must be taken within 72 hours of an unprotected sex, as an effective emergency contraceptive.
