Can We Use Johnson S Baby Oil To Loosen Gauze Stuck To A Wound After Toenail Removal?

Hi Doctors, my wife recently had a nail removal at a hospital to treat the ingrown. The wounded toe was later wrapped with Gauze. It s been 24 hours now and we need to clean the wound, the problem is my wife is really hurting because the gauze is really sticking to the wound. Can we apply Johnson s baby oil on the surface of the wound just to soften the stickiness of the gauze so we can easily remove it?
