What causes a strong pee smell while getting off of depo? I was suppose to get another shot in July but its been almost near three months and when I went to the doctors they prescribed me an oral pill for vaginal yeast infection back in august. I went through the constant nausea, boob aches, and fatigue phase. Now its October and when I urinate and wipe I can smell a strong pee odor ( not a fishy smell),but i just know that it smells stronger than what it usually does. What are my possible problems?
Hi dear, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. Strong smell in the urine is most likely due to urinary tract infection. Moreover, associated fungal vaginal infection also makes urinary tract infection more likely possibility. Depo shots or its withdrawal has no association with the smell in urine. I will suggest you to get your urine examination done to confirm the diagnosis and get appropriate treatment timely. Hope you found the answer helpful. Regards Dr Deepti Verma OBGYN
