Can White Discharge And Delayed Periods Indicate Pregnancy?

My husband and I have been trying to concieve for a few months. I am 5 days late on my period with no real signs of it coming. I tested yesterday, it said negative. I have had a decent amount of white discharge this past week. Could I still be pregnant even if the test came back negative?

Hello, I would be happy to help you with your question.

A home pregnancy test will usually turn positive about 2 weeks after conception. If you have regular cycles and know when you ovulate, then you should know if this result is reliable. It sounds like it is negative and you are not pregnant. The delay in your period might just be related to a slight delay in when you ovulated during the last month. If you do not get your period within the week, the retest. If your test remains negative and you still do not get your period, then call your OB.

I hope that this helps and good luck!
