name= lokho keshe age= 22 yrs doc i have a serious skin issue going on this problem has been for the past 8 months and it seems like its spreading to other parts of body ie, joints-leg below knee- hand elbow i have used many creams but with no result, it cures to some extend and than spreads again symptoms= ring like circles, eichness, bactarial kind of infection no result so far. help needed please. urgent thanks

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

You might be suffering from Tinea corporis which is a fungal infection of skin. Please try to follow these things:
1. Do not apply over the counter creams which may contain steroids. Steroids worsen skin fungal infection.
2. Avoid tight fitting clothes.
3. Always sun dry your inner wear before using.
4. Keep the folds in the skin dry by applying clotrimazole dusting powder.

You can apply Terbinafine cream twice daily for 2 weeks. In case of no improvement, consult your dermatologist.
