Can Wine Be Consumed While On Prednisolone And Quinoric?

I have two questions. What I suppose to do if I forgot to take my Quinoric tablet? I had to take it almost 12 hours ago. I am taking 4mg prednisolone and 200mg Quinoric for lupus. Can I have glass of wine with my meal, wile I am on these tablets? Thanks a lot Diana

Hello,

-If you have forgotten to take Quinoric, you can continue taking the next dose at the regular time you take it.

-If you drink small amounts of alcohol occasionally it doesn't affect the therapy that you are ongoing.

But if you drink regular wine, it might interfere with some side effects of these medications, by increasing them so I suggest you not to drink alcohol if you are on this therapy.

Alcohol and steroids(prednisone) taken together to suppress your immune system more and increase risks for infections.

Also increases the risk for diabetes mellitus, osteoporosis and might aggravate any gastric ulcer.
