Yes, actually. Your period is the process your body goes through after it has released an egg, but the egg was never firtilized. If the egg was never firtilized, then you shed the uterine lining - and have your period. When a girl has her first period - there was an egg that was released before she started to bleed and shed the uterine lining. So yes, you can get pregnant, even if you have not yet had a period.
