Can You Recommend Medication To Avoid Dark Appearance Of The Healed Skin After Acne Picking?

hello doctor, i am about 50 yr old male, regularly usind clindac a gel for acne prevention ( very satisfied). because of some infection recently , i had couple of acnes. i picked them and the wounds are now drying. can u recommend a medication so that the healed skin does not appear dark? thnx

Hello,
Thank you for posting on HCM.
Continue using clindac-A gel twice a day all over face.
Add a cream containing Kojic acid , Arbutin, Tetrahydrocurcumin ( Melaglow) twice a day. Routine use of this cream will reduce and prevent dark spots.
Use broad spectrum sunscreen before going out in sun.
Use good quality moisturiser like Emolene on regular basis.
