Cant Hear. Diagnosed Ear Infection. Prescribed Otomize. Hearing Worsened. Normal, Consult Another Doctor?
Hi.I went to see a doctor on monday because i couldnt hear properly on one ear,no pain.Doctor checked my ear and said that i have an ear infection.she prescribed me Otomize,ear spray, to use 3times a day for 7days.Since i started using it my hearing has become worse.I hardly can hear on that ear.Do you think its normal when using this spray or should i see another doctor?And also every time i use it, there is tickling in my ear and i really want to scratch it.Thank you

Yes the hearing goes down and there is a blocked feeling on using ear spray or ear drops.
But it improves as the infection goes down.
You can also take oral antibiotics , oral decongestant tablets,nasal decongestant drops,-- for good and early relief.
Prevent water from entering your ears.otherwise infection may increase .
If you have unbearable itching and irritation , then You can get a microscopic suction cleaning of the ears .so that ears are clean and discharge which irritates is cleaned up this will be done by your ENT specialist
