Cause For Chest Pain, Breathlessness And Fast Heart Beat?
Hi , i ve been experiencing chest pain from about a year. i m only 18 years old. my chest hurts if the weather was cold, or if i drink a cold drink , and it also hurts when i eat ice cream or if i smell a strong smell. dust irritates me sometimes and i start coughing! i don t think i have asthma , i ve been told by doctors that i had a virus in my blood but they didn t know why or what is it. my lungs are fine! i took hemoglobin pills for 3 months but my blood is fine now its above 12. i really want to know why my chest hurts and my heart starts racing and i feel shortness in breath also, its like i can t get enough air into my lungs.

Hi,
There is a disease entity called allergic rhinitis which can be precipitated by change in ambient environmental temperature, viral infection, allergens like pollen in the air etc.
Almost 50% of these cases have concomitant asthma and the reverse is true in 80%.
Anemia may also be cause, but now Hb level is reaching normal. Continue your iron pills.
Get an ECG, chest xray , and a simple breathing test called spirometry done. These are readily available with a chest specialist....
