Cause Of Abdominal Pain After Consuming Wine?
Hello, Last night, after consuming 3 glasses of wine during the evening, I woke up with an acid like pain in my upper left side of my abdomen. It caused me discomfort for about 2 hours then went away. Do you have any idea of what might have caused this?

Hi.
All the alcoholic beverages are known to acidity related problem.
I would advise such a patient to stop drinking alcohol containing drinks.
Your problem can be a gastritis and I would advise you to take Ranitidine/ Pantoprazole, antacid liquid 3 teaspoonful every three hours , go for a bland diet till the problem settles.
If the above measures fail, you may have to undergo upper GI endoscopy.
