Hi I went to my OB doc today and he did a internal exam and my cervix is high and closed. And he send me for hpt bld test to see if I am pregnant. Do you think it's possible I am?. I did a home preg test today and it was negative.. But the bld test will confirm for sure right? I'm DPO 11 today and my period is due Friday. I have short menses usually only 23-25 days What do you think? Thank you
Hi, Welcome to HCM High and closed cervix has no relation with your status of pregnancy or non pregnancy. Pregnancy test will determine your pregnancy status. "3-25 days are normal menstrual cycle. If the interval between your first day of two consecutive periods are less than 17 days, we can sat that your cycle is short. Blood test for pregnancy test is more sensitive as compared to urine pregnancy test, and it can detect pregnancy erlier than urine test. Best wishes. Dr H Hamdani
