I had the mirena in for a year now. I always had regular periods until recently i had what i think to be was implantation bleeding. My periods usually stay for 6-7 days but only lasts 4days. I have been feeling movement in my tummy nausea diaria gas heartburn back pain light head always hungry. Its time for my next period and i have brown discharge happening as if this will be a short period
Hello, You have the safe intrauterine hormonal contraceptive device, for the last 4 years. So far no problem Now you are having certain symptoms - which may be premenstrual or may be due to peptic ulcer associated with gastroenteritis or mild food poisoning. Anyhow consult the Dr to rule out Acute gastroenteritis (AGE). If so proper dieting is a must along with treatment. Even if it is premenstrual, drugs are available. As 4 years have crossed better to take X-ray to confirm its position and discuss with the Dr for removal and reinsertion. Best wishes
