Hi, thanks for using healthcare magic

The risk of a heart attack is increased if there is: (1) family history of heart disease (2) age- the risk rises with age (3) high cholesterol including triglycerides (4) history of smoking (5) diabetes (6) over weight or obese (7) inactivity or lack of exercise

It would be best to continue using the medication. When you were using it your triglycerides decreased from 500 to 200, this means that it was working.
With a family history of heart disease , your risk would be reduced by using the medication consistently.

In addition to using your medication , you should consider the following: (1) adequate exercise- at least 150 mins a week (2) reduce the use of carbohydrates- carbohydrates have been shown to increase the level of triglycerides. If you can decrease the amount that you use , your triglycerides would go down.

I hope this helps

hello,
thank you for using health care magic,
since you have family histroy of heart attack plius your triglycerides are also very high it will be wise to continue medicine..
what is your weight, if you have extra pounds try to loose it
modify your diet, stop oily and fatty food especially butter, cheese etc
daily do exercise or walking at least for 20 to 30 min..
changes in diet and exercise will improve your lipid profile..
please note that medicine and changes in lifestyle both are necessary..
hope this helps you,
