Chest X Ray Shows Residual Fibrosis In Lower Left Lung. Cause? Will This Be Permanent?
Good morning, I have my physical examination which includes chest x-rays, when I got the result it stated there that I have residual fibrosis in the lower left lung, I am not an occasional smoker and a drinker, also I have no history of having TB, last three months ago when I was in abroad I my have physical examination regarding chest x-ray the result shows clear and in good health, can I know what cause this? And it will be permanent?
Fibrosis in lower lungs is a general term and does not give any clue as to the cause. It seems you do not have any symptoms. To know exactly about the nature of fibrosis you should undergo certain tests like a CT scan of chest and if required a PFT. It is better that you consult a pulmonologist who can see you in person and advise you accordingly.
