Chest Pain, Cough, Sore Throat, Lower Back Pain. Had Stent Placed In 2011. Is This Severe Heartburn?
2 weeks ago I went to the emergency room with chest pain. I had a stent placed in June 2011. I also take aspirin, lipitor, lisynipril, clopidogrel and a over the counter for heart burn. I also have a cough (I have had for 2 months) a sore throat and lower back pain. (feels like I broke my tail bone) an EKG, blood test, chest xray and strep test was done. My heat doctor said it must not be my heart. I just had another chest pain this afternoon. I don't want to be a pain to my doctor. could this be severe heartburn?
Hello, Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum. Aspirin, lisinopril, clopidogrel lipitor all are hyper acidity producing drugs , so pain in the chest may be due to hyper acidity but if this pain is behind sternum . You haven't mentioned the exact side of pain. In your query , you stated that there is cough , since 2 months pretty long time. What about the findings of X ray, mention it . In my opinion consult a chest & tuberculosis specialist and get his opinion. 2nd reason of cough may be allergic bronchitis. Hope I have answered your question. If further any question I will help. Good luck. Dr. HET
