Ophthalmologist 's  Response
Hi Naxuha I am Dr Bilal and I am an Ophthalmologist

Welcome to Health Care Magic

I would like to answer your question and your satisfaction is my goal .

As your child is diagnosed with lazy eye (right eye) , it is very necessary for your child to wear glasses as prescribed by the Eye Doctor . This condition is called Amblyopia , in which vision does not develop properly in one eye . If you will leave it untreated , vision in that eye will never develop correctly , and as the brain matures , it will ignore the image from poorly seeing eye , and this visual impairment can become permanent and the child may develop strabismus as well . The vision in right eye definitley gonna improve with the use of glasses . Your child gonna be alright and just follow the instructions given by your eye doctor and have your child regularly examined . I would also like to advise you to discuss one thing with your eye doctor , i.e, to use a patch over left eye , to force the brain to start using the right eye . I hope you will find my answer helpful .

Wish you and your child good luck .

Best regards .
