Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi I am Dr.kadhir,

Tamiflu is not indicated unless there is high index of suspicion that the child may have swine flu. Even other viral infections could cause high grade fever. It is not sure that your elder daughter had swine flu and also i don't know on what basis she was started on tamiflu.

i addition the dose also differs between both and also use should know the side effects of this drugs when used inappropriately.

My advice is to see a pediatrician first and if he has high index of suspicion than go with his prescription, otherwise tamiflu is not advised as most other viral illness subside by symptomatic treatment .

Allergist and Immunologist Dr. Suman Kumar's  Response
tamiflue is used in virals and i think not to start with medicines as they are used in specific indications and doctor must reconfirm the diagnosis before starting medicines of these types as the age is less so be little careful to give medicines without doctor consultation
