Hello and welcome to Healthcare Magic. Thanks for your query.
It is very common to feel run down, tired and fatigued after a major illness like malaria. Howeever, the paleness and appearing "drained" may be indicative of anemia. If she has not had he hemoglobin checked recently, then I suggest that you take her to the doctor to have it checked.
It is possible that she is stressed out after the impact of the illness and probably due to the stress of leaving home soon. I would suggest that you be supportive and encouraging to her. If possible, you can assure her that you will keep visiting her often. That way, you can also have a check on how she is doing and ensure that she is eating well and doing okay. Try to ensure that she gets a nutritious diet, with adequate proteins and vegatables, eespecially green vegetables. You can also pack some nuts, dry fruits and dates - which are rich sources of iron and vitamins.
Wish you all the best.
