Cold, Conjunctivitis In Eyes And Tonsillitis. Undergone Toe Surgery. Could This Be Due To Infection From Surgery?

Hi,

I had minor toe(nail) surgery almost 2 weeks ago. Since then, I have had a cold, conjunctivitis in both eyes and now feeling tonsilitis coming on and I am normally NEVER ill or unwell. It could be viral as someone at work had it too, but I've been eating well and resting well - why suddenly all the illnesses? This couldn't be due to an infection from the surgery could it?

Hi,

Cold , conjunctivitis or tonsillitis are not associated with minor toe nail surgery. There is higher chance that you are suffering from Viral fever as there is contact history. Viral infection usually resolve of its own. Only symptomatic treatment is required.
Antihistamine eye-drop and tabs with decongestant usually help out in these cases. But it is necessary to consult a local doctor for clinical examination to see the extent of symptoms and sign.
