Cold, Coughing, Phlegm Secretion. History Of Coughing Problem. Treatment?

I developed cold 10 days back. Also ahd coughing. Cold is gone, but the coughing persists with secretion of phlegm . I have been having prolonged coughing troubles since childhood. I have to argue in a court in 5 days and the coughing is a problem. Can you suggest me some medication like an antibiotic which can quickly treat it?

Hello Prateek and welcome to HCM
To get quick relief from cough you have a take regular steam inhalation 4-5 times a day with chest physiotherapy and try to expel out the phlegm after every steam inhalation. If cough is more frequent and presistant than you can also try medicated nebulization with respules.
The antibiotic is only needed if you are expelling out yellow colored phlegm. Otherwise their is no need of antibiotic.
Expectorant cough syurp and asthalin inhaler can also be tried for quick relief.
Best Wishes and have a speedy recovery
