Hi friend
Welcome to Health Care Magic

You didn't say how long! If it is a month or more you may need CT scan of your sinuses - to rule out any contributing underlying cause. Simple X-ray chest may also be necessary. Blood counts to see eosinophil and blood sugar estimation are necessary
Asthma and/or allergic rhinitis is highly likely - Did you consult a Chest and Ear Nose Throat specialist?
Geographic tongue is usually a normal finding! But in your situation, fungus infection from steroid use is a possibility. Vitamin B deficiency may be contributing.
Your internist and ENT doctor will do the best. keep following up. It may take some time...

Take care
Wishing you speedy recovery
God bless
Good luck

Hi,
Welcome to HCM
These cough cold are due to viral infection and followed by inflamatory reaction in the form of bronchospasm?as inhales and steroids are given to you.
Antibiotics donot help unless there is secondary infection, cough is many times dry and irritating ,change in taste may be due to disease it self as flavour of food is because of smell and also due to side effects of drugs that are used.
You can do gargles with some soothing antiseptic like chlorhexidine and local gel may be applied to relive pain and a suppliment of B complex vitamins which help in recovery.
It is the time and body immunity which develops will recover completely in few days.
Good luck to you
