Concussion, Contusion, Grade Two Right Ankle Sprain, Headache, Dizziness. Treatment?

I fell down my steps backwards suffering a concussion and contusions as well as a grade 2 right lateral ankle sprain 1 day ago. I continue to have a headache and some dizziness and moderate pain in my ankle especially when ambulating or trying to get up from a seated position. I am a massage therapist and so I am on my feet for atleast 4 hours a day. Thank you for your information. God Bless

Hi,

Thank you for posting your query.

I have noted your symptoms.

I agree with you that these symptoms- headache and dizziness are suggestive of mild concussion due to the fall.

The symptoms would subside on own in a few days. As of now, you can take symptomatic treatment with ibuprofen tablets for headache relief and betahistine tablets for relief from dizziness.

I hope it helps.

Best wishes,
Dr Sudhir Kumar MD DM (Neurology)
