My 16 year old son last Wed the 18th during football practice he got really hard,, He didn't pass out , didn't vomit... Just was dazzed for a minute.. The trainers said it was a concussion , his family doctor which we saw today says it was not a concussion but a con-q- sion... sorry didn't quite know how to spell it ... But how do you know the difference and I need a neurologist here in dallas to clear him to participate in sports.

Dear friend,

Thanks for posting your query on this website. I fully appreciate your concerns.

From the details provided, your son has not sustained any brain damage. I presume- from your account- that he is now totally all right. In that case, there is no requirement of seeing the Neurologist.
Your son can continue participation in sports.

I am confident that you will certainly benefit from the advice.

May I assure you that I am always available for your assistance and will try my best to cure your condition to the best of my experience and knowledge.

Please feel free to revert back to me in case of further clarifications, if any.

HAVE A NICE DAY AND A SPEEDY RECOVERY.

Fond Regards,

Dr.(Col) R Karanwal
