Constant Crunching In The Neck On Turning The Head Accompanied With A Sore On Left Shoulder And Swollen Top Right Side On Neck Back?
Hi I have a constant crunching in my neck whenever I turn my head accompanied with a sore left shoulder and swelling at the top right side on back of neck.It has been like this for the last 9 months and not getting any better.I originally injured it doing a headstand. My neck went into severe spasms at work a while back.
The symptoms as mentioned in your post can be attributed to musculo-skeletal injury. X ray of the cervical spine & shoulder joint can be done to rule out any pathological cause for the symptoms.
Symptomatic relief can be obtained by application of ice, analgesic & muscle relaxant gel, intake of analgesics like Diclofenac (to be taken after food) + Pantoprazole (to be taken 30 minutes before meals). Supplements of Calcium & Vitamin D can be included in his diet which will help in strengthening of bones. Physiotherapy exercise will also be helpful.
If symptoms still persist, it will be better to consult an Orthopedician for proper clinical examination. Till then, maintain adequate hydration & nutrition status, take proper rest and avoid stress.
Wishing a Good Health. Take care.
