Constant Pain After Having Hysterectomy Followed By Laparoscopic Surgery For Ovary, Cervix Removal. No Help From Hydromorphone. Thoughts?

Hi, my wife had a laparoscopic surgery for hysterectomy in jan 2010. Recently she had another laporascopic surgery to remove her left overy/tube and her cervix 11 days ago. She s in constant pain since then and still in the hospital on Hydromorphone pain medication. The pain hasn t subsided even a bit. What could be the problem?

Hello sir and welcome.

The surgeries your wife has undergone are no minor surgeries. It takes time for an individual to recupperate from the surgery and only once rehabilitation has been initiated they begin to show signs of coping and recovering. Please be patient, I am sure your wife will get better soon.

Ask her to co-operate with her doctors as much as possible. Hope this helps.

Best wishes.
