Constant Pain In Right Lower Back, Radiating Down Right Testicle. Anything Serious ?

I have had pain in my right lower back (kidney area) since Wednesday that is constant and pretty painful and has been radiating down to my pubic/right testicle. Can you please let me know if it is just my back or something more serious. I have moderate scoliosis since I was a kid and I see a chiropractor on a regular basis. Please help!

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

With a history of scoliosis, it is possible that the pain is related to the back particularly if it is worsened if you try to move from side to side.
In this case you may want to consider the use of anti inflammatory pain killers such as ibuprofen, aspirin or diclofenac.

Back pain that radiates to the groin can also occur due to kidney stones. This pain can be severe.
The treatment depends on the size of the stones- for small stones copious fluid intake and pain medication is recommended.
For larger stones medical intervention may be required.

YOu should consider visiting your doctor for an assessment to determine , through physical examination, the exact cause of your pain.

I hope this helps

Hi
Pain in R lumber area for 7 days , radiating to testicle can be related to pathology like stone/infection in kidney . Please get urine exam done. If it has pus cells and rbc, you have a stone. confirmation by ultrasound. Not serious enough to endanger life but quite irritating. Pl get treatment after relevany tests done
